Sometimes in the DCU, Luthor the Corporate Titan has overshadowed Luthor the scientist – but Cornell’s vision of Luthor strikes the right balance. And, it must be noted, the continuing adventures of Lois Lane, Self-Aware Sex Robot, are hilarious. In this issue, the Lois robot reference is subtle, but this device continues to pay dividends. Paul Cornell is a funny madman. Maybe that’s why he’s such a natural fit for a Luthor story.
