I love me some Paul Cornell, I love me some Lex Luthor. This comic is a slam-dunk! This story is about Lex Luthor and his quest to find where all that evil energy went when all the black rings went poof. Just as any good character study of Lex Luthor this comic goes into what makes one of DC’s greatest villains tick. And must like in Lex Luthor: Man of Steel, Cornell proves Luthor to be an incredibly complex and engaging individual and well worth following.

Pete Woods draws the heck out of this comic and it seems kind of Dodson-like in the execution. His art on the Superman books has been fantastic in the past and this issue continues that level of quality. Even if I did see a few hiccups in character model I thought that the look, overall, was really good.

I look forward to this run. I think this story arc is going to be a lot of fun and I suggest you all join me.

  1. Wow.  Action Comics hasn’t been on my pull list since just after the whole Death of Superman thing, but I picked up this issue because I like Paul Cornell.  I wasn’t disappointed.  This is a really fun DC comic.  I’m on board for the run.
