There has been very little gems to grab out of the Superman universe lately.  I did read most of New Krypton but nothing really was flushed out very well.  Like many others I enjoyed the idea of giving some of the villains rings in the battle of The Blackest Night.  I have always been a Lex Luthor fan and will always read a book with him featured.  The idea that they are carrying over a Lantern story line into a Superman book is a little hilarious but that's what's working right now.

The writing was pretty fucking awesome in this book.  Love how Lois is involved, or is she.  The beginning showing how Luthor reacts to an employee's incompetence didn't quite fit with the character I felt.  Lex is trying to gain enough power to battle against the strongest being on his planet but let's himself get bitch slapped by a flunky employee, don't think so. (Which was the preview panels for this story by the way and almost got me not to read this.)  I enjoy the art and feel it is perfect for this Universe.  I dropped Action Comics not to long after relaunch but would love it to give me some reason to get back on and this sounds like it will.
