I don’t know what the deal with this book is, but it is some of the
most boring stuff Rucka has done in a while. It is still a lot better
than the average Superman title I’ve been reading in the last 10 years,
but I expect more out of Rucka than mysterious government fighting
Kryptonians with even more mysterious female having access to the
general in charge. Nothing really seemed to happen this issue except
Dr. Light showing up and being an uber bitch and getting Flamebird into
a position where she’ll probably swoop in to save the day next issue.
The art was fine, but didn’t have any panels where I was amazed at what
I just saw. Straight forward isn’t bad, it’s just repetitive. And
that’s what this book feels like, incredibly repetitive.
