I do really adore what Morrison’s doing with ACTION COMICS.

#1 was about Superman. #2 was about Lex. #3, then, is logically about Clark – and this isn’t really the Clark Kent we know. He’s a bit more of an activist. He has something of a spine.

And he’ll likely need it, as public opinion turns against Superman. Given the events of the first issue, in particular, this isn’t that strange a turn of events. Of course, it’s not like the general public occasionally tossing rocks at him will really slow Supes down…still, the evolution from public menace to revered protector could prove interesting for Superman, a character who generally doesn’t have to go through it.

Morrison also delves a bit more into Krypton, and the threat that may have ended it: a few new things there, too, and they have clear repercussions for Superman’s story.

Meanwhile, Lex is evil. But that’s hardly a spoiler.

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 4 - Very Good
