I used not to be a Superman fan at all. Though I started reading Action Comics when they started the Superboy story arc and tried to re-number the series about two years ago, and have enjoyed the storyline.

Has the new relaunch changed anything for me? Nope, another great issue for the new Action Comics.

Two things that puzzle me though.

1. Timeline of the story. Action is not dealing with Superboy (cloned), but appears to be a younger Superman. Just hard for me to fit into a timeline when I am reading the Superboy and Superman comics.

2. Were is the mystery girl from all the #1’s?

  1. DC stated that Action Comics takes place in the past of the DCU, even before Justice League. In the Action Comics time, Supes is the very first super hero the world has seen.

  2. 2. Page 26, panel 3.

  3. I’m guessing the Superman in ACTION COMICS is about 22, the Superman in JUSTICE LEAGUE is about 24, and the Superman in SUPERMAN is about 29 (though that seems kind of old for what the New 52 wanted of its new standard Kal-El?). As for Conner… all we know is, that in his narration in SUPERBOY #1, he speculates he’s been alive for 3.5 months as of the New DCU’s “current” timeline – so if he’s correct, he doesn’t exist during the current story arcs for ACTION or JUSTICE LEAGUE.

  4. Thanks all for the replies, they all help me understand the timeline here for the books.
