iFanboy #259 – James Robinson and Nicola Scott of ‘Earth 2’ at San Diego Comic-Con 2012

Show Notes

A whole bunch of the current DC titles get to exist in the main universe, but Earth 2 is the only place to find that universe, where James Robinson writes and Nicola Scott draws the adventures of the retooled Justice Society.

We talk to the creative team about building this set of characters and just what they have to do with the older characters they’re based on. We also touch on the transformation of Alan Scott to a leading gay character, and just what that means, if anything. Robinson also touches on The Shade and what the future may or may not hold for the character.

Comments

  1. James still can’t look Josh in the eye.

  2. Robert Kirkman may be the crowd pleaser interview on iFanboy but James Robinson’s interviews have cult status now. He always looks like he’s waiting for a bus when Josh talks to him.

  3. One of my favourite current teams – sweet! Thanks for this, guys.

  4. Can’t wait to see Sandman and would love to see Starman, Dr. Midnite, Hourman. Dr Fate and the Spectre as well. None of them have been used in the New52 so I think I can sustain hope.

  5. The follow up Shade story sounds really interesting. Fingers crossed DC give him the go ahead.
