great cant wait to listen
the guardians are now possessed by the entities. they’re not dead yet i would say but who knows what will happen in 5 months
Great show so far. You’ve actually discussed quite a lot of the books I read for a change. And the Green Lantern stuff and I can now officially say I’m glad I didn’t return for the War of the Green Lanterns arc.
As for FF, I thought it was a very good issue and I do think that Hickman has stepped up his game for the last couple of issues but I’m still not as blown away as others are. For me, Astonishing Spider-man and Wolverine was an easy pick of the week because, in a week of loads of good books, it was easily the most fun. It still astonishes me just how much range Jason Aaron has as a write because that was such silly, funny, goofy fun that couldn’t be more different from his sublime work on Scalped.
I do not envy our hosts for having to whittle down selections for a week that was quite heavy on quality.
*sigh* I still love Green Lantern.
@Greg from Texas go for Cerebus. When you get to Church & State it will blow you away.
Doom and Nathanial are tied more to together, I just remembered. Because during the arc (where Edwards was artist) a future Valeria/Franklin had to get present-day Valeria/Franklin to realize that Doom is needed in order to save the world.
I completely forgot about that plotline but I guess it’s gonna get explained during this new series.
Do you guys spoil the new status quo in Invincible?
@Suicidalkangarooz
They talked major plot poitns yes.
Read the issue before you listen.
I really enjoyed the 1st GhostBuster’s issue,and looking forward to reading the 2nd issue.
I’m trying to figure out if this show is too short or if it it just goes by too fast. Maybe it’s a little bit of both.
I actually enjoyed Green Lantern quite a bit this week. I also thought Transformers: Heart of Darkness was fairly enjoyable.
I enjoyed Green Lantern last week. It got things back on the right track after the chaotic New Guardians arc with more focus on character development (particularly for Hal). Still early to say if it’ll be a great arc, but I like what I see so far.
@Bryce31 Thanks.
Great show, guys. I definitely agree with Josh that there’s stuff in Batman Inc #4 that only Morrison could pull off. Good discussion.
Dark Phoenix Wolverine? I’ve got to check that out.
I don’t agree about Epting on FF, though. The art is good but I think it’s a big step down from what he was doing on Marvel’s Project, and his Cap work was note-perfect. The book is fine, but I definitely don’t see Hickman/Epting as being nearly the greatest creative team out.
It’s a big compliment to Jonathan hickman, in an age where we are telling everyone comics are legitimate literacy.
