  1. Really happy to be picking this up.  The first ish was fun.  Magic is my favorite part of the DCU.

  2. @misterckent – I am not a huge magic fan, but I loved this book. Man the art is amazing.

  3. The art and the "supernatural detective" story aspect really hooked me.  I’m really looking forward to this and hoping the quality continues.

  4. I just hope we don’t get fill-in writers too soon in the series.

    I loved the first issue.

  5. now that’s a nice cover.

  6. i generally could care less about Zatanna, but got #1 through a DCBS special. HOLY SHIT! it was awesome! I would have never gave this a second glance on the shelf, but man, i’m soooo excited to get this next ish.

  7. @cromulent, yeah, looks like a trade

  8. I’m going to go out on a (sturdy) limb and say that this could be the best new series of 2010.

  9. i really really like this series so far. sad i’m only one of 3 people who pulls this at my shop.

  10. Trade waiting on this. Glad to hear all the positive comments here.

  11. I have been so pleasantly surprised by this book. The art is fantastic and the story is immediately engaging even without knowing anything about the character.

  12. The art in this issue blew my face off. Wasn’t expecting it to be THAT good. Pretty good story too.

  13. Really digging this.  The art is lovely with some really cool panel layouts.  I always like when a comic can tell a relatively complete story in an issue while also carrying on a larger narrative.  The first two issues of this have done it well.

  14. Favorite new series, can’t wait for issue #3.  I’m pretty speechless about how good this is, wow.

  15. This art is like JH Williams III (in terms of layouts) meets an Amanda Connors/Terry Dodson hybrid in terms of the figures (or, well, Zatanna’s figure at least, bada-zing!). Gorgeous work!
