  1. That cover… wow.

  2. finch rocks.

Never heard of camuncoli, that i can remember at least.  hopefully its alright

  3. Finch was slated to do this mini, but then Marvel threw him over to Loeb for Ultimatum at the last minute.  I always thought Loeb’s drain on my life would end after I stopped reading his books, apparently not.

  4. lol the guy they have replacing him isn’t bad

  5. im a huge fan of x-men but this mini just does not sound appealing. I think I will stick to the spider-man x-men cross over because that was the bees knees!

  6. that tail, yow-za!

  7. Yeah, that’s kinda icky. I feel so-so about this. I felt jerked around by the New X-Men arc last year. I want the real Illyana back. The one with a dark and twisted soul, but not a tail, horns, and hooves.

Also, no Kitty = > awesome. Unless Ill and Lockheed and Sym go on a quest to bring her back.

  8. If I remember correctly, the real Illyana grew a tail and horns during Inferno, right?

And I can’t remember the explanation given in the New X-Men arc, is this Illyana from House of M?

  9. I didn’t remember it 5 seconds after I read it. I think Belasco brought her back because he wanted to complete the soul stone. But she came back with no soul and then took over Limbo (again) and banished B. And that’s when Pixie donated part of her soul? And that’s how she got her soul dagger maybe? I guess I should re-read it, but I don’t want to.

  10. why the fuck am i buying this?

  11. i think this is a recreation of ilyanna based on the fragments left in Limbo of her (whew, ony in comics)

Belasco saw here in the House of M, and that reminded him of the genuine article, but she has no soul, and apperently is going to get it back…. somehow

  12. I’ll try this one issue, even though I always thought the original Inferno was a bit overrated (too long, the New Mutants issues had terrible art, it was too much a contrivance to wisk the Austrian X-Men back to NY and ruin the illusion that they were thought to be dead…).

  13. ^I meant Australian, not Austrian.

  14. 5/5.  Pretty much everything I’m looking out of an issue #1

  15. What the hell, I actually liked this.

  16. @AlexG – its always nice to go into something with low expectations and get this

  17. This was a solid issue, but I can’t help but be frustrated by the fact that this is yet another X-men mini-series.  Seriously, can’t they find a way to keep all of their important stories within the X-books proper?  My wallet simply can’t handle buying all that is out there, and its frustrating to no end…

  18. damn that cover…..i know i’m not the only one thinking this but they need to leave her in hell…cause he lost kitty….and he going to loose her again

  19. A great start – enjoyed the art and the writing.  I had no expectations going in, and now I’m looking forward to issue #2!

  20. Pixie is becoming a great character. I really dug thus. I don’t really know the whole magik story (I just started getting into x-men around Decimation. This was really amazing!
