  1. Can Peter David tell a good one shot? I mean, I am sure he can, but he seems to excel at long running interweaving storylines with tons of character stuff. A quick wam, bam, thank-you-maam may not play to his strengths. On the other hand, some of his long running stories (cough… Rahne’s pregnancy… cough) seemed to go on and on and on…

    • X-Factor #87 and Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #23 are one-and-done stories and are in my opinion 2 of the best comics ever published.

    • The therapy issues of the current volume or era or whatever it is with the renumbering was also a very memorable single issue. I think it was #13. But it also fit in with the character progression before and after. A good writer of monthly comics needs to be able to write a satisfying single issue while also seeding a longer story.

  2. I need to catch up on X-Factor but I love it.
