  1. Noto!
    Plus a fun story!
    More people should buy this!

  2. This stays on my pull list as long as Noto keeps bringing the fantastic art. Liu isn’t bad herself, and actually quite the up and coming writer. But typically X-23 isn’t enough to draw me in. The Noto art does though.

  3. I feel like this series has just been getting better. I’ve especially liked the most recent arc, but the art has been terrific throughout. If someone is on the fence about this series give it a try because you’ll find that it’s a surprisingly fun read for a character that sounds so terrible. (Sorry, but just try explaining who the character is to someone and you’ll get what I mean)

  4. How long has Phil Noto been drawing this?

  5. I was just about to log in and say that Noto’s been doing a great job and this has (albeit very quietly) been a pretty good series, but it looks like all you guys beat me to it.

  6. With the recent cancellations of Alpha Flight and Iron Man 2.0, I really worry about this book. It’s been a favorite read of my wife and I since it came out.

  7. That solicit is wrong. I tried this out thinking I was getting in on a new story, but it’s actually the conclusion of a four-parter.

So I decided to test out the “every issue should be a good jumping on point” theory.

Noto is great and the story was alright. I didn’t feel lost or out of the loop, but it was hard to get invested in anything since I basically walked in at the third act.

I’ll consider the next issue if Noto is drawing, but otherwise this wasn’t anything special for me.

  8. Wow this issue and entire arc have just sucked the big one.
Thats saying A LOT because i`m a huge marjorie liu fanboy.

I also hate noto`s art but that purely secondary. The last arc, Laura finding herself and her past was so kick ass. this was just utter shit.

Common Liu you can do better!

  9. This arc was really boring and out of place compared to the feel of the rest of the book…. that said it’s still absolutely gorgeous. Hopefully the story improves next time.

  10. I’m not sure what TheRealVenom and party didn’t like about this arc because I loved it. Took a street level character with a cosmic past (when she was Captain Universe) and sent her on a cosmic adventure with the FF. I loved what they did with the FF and I liked how X-23 was out on her own. Noto’s art was awesome as he seems to just keep getting better. I thought this did a great job of telling a complete story that built on the stories that came before without being dependent on them. Good job Marjorie Liu and Phil Noto. I can’t wait to see where this goes next.

    • Juggernaut was Captain Universe, too. Still, bet you won’t see him going to space or teaming up with the FF.

The story was mediocre, nothing to drop the series about, but still just meh.

  11. Yeah, disappointed that this wasn’t the actual jumping on Regenesis fall out that the solicit said it was.
