The last issue was terrible but i will be getting this on the cover alone.
I much prefer this Electro costume to the new one. He’s got one of my favorite costumes!
i hope this is better than the first one. I ordered it on DCBS forever ago and am regretting it now.
@ JumpingJupiter
Totally! I understand that it seems a bit foppish and silly, but I think it is such a classic costume. I am always saddened when Electro pops up and the writer/artist tries to modify his get up. I loved New Avengers #1 where the guys hiring Electro to break into the The Raft give leave the decision of "mask or no mask" up to Electro. Bendis has Electro reply, "Mask."
If this just had the Electro story, dumped Spider-Girl and the Jonah stories and cost 3 dollars I’d be all over it. As it is I’m on the fence about getting it.
@Andrew: Indeed! It also just looks cool!
I’m probably not gonna pick this up, but I do wanna flip through the Day in the Life of JJJ story.
The Electro story was built around an odd choice of inserting the Brotherhood of Mutants into his origin, and it did nothing to flesh out Dillon’s character. Not very good. I don’t care for Spider-Girl, and the JJJ story was simply crazy and did little to entertain me. This comic wasn’t for me, and at the price was very disappointing.
The Electro story was a bit weird, but entertaining. The JJJ story was good. The Spider-girl story, I couldn’t get through. I’ll pick these out of bargain bins in the future.
