  1. Decided to wait for the trade on this story. Not really a fan of Rob Williams…gonna hear how it turns out. I’ll try Venom agan after this stories over.

  2. I’m going to check this out in the shop before I decide to buy it for sure. Zeppo’s comment above about Williams’ art is not encouraging. No Remender, no Moore, no Fowler 🙁

  3. Not down with creators I know nothing about.

But the first issue of this story makes me want to give the whole thing a chance. I hope Remender plotted this thing tightly so it can’t go too wrong in the hands of other writers.

  4. I guess ill see how bad the quality drop off will be but hey im a pretty optimistic guy.

  5. What is the story with the female Ghost Rider, I stopped reading GR after the 0.1 issue and seeing just how bad it was.

Not only that, but all I got out of her in the last issue was that she was pretty two dimensional if not one dimensional.
The only things she said through that whole thing was either “Blank Blank Vengeance Blank” Or “Blank Blank Don’t tell me what to do Old man Blank Blank”.

Based on that, I really don’t like her character.

  6. this is such a weird was to do a “crossover”, add a bunch of characters, switch creative teams every issue (more or less) and number them as 13.1, 13.2, etc… just odd to me

  7. I’m getting these because I’m buying Venom and bought X-23.

    I hope they don’t suck…

  8. This is where I started out with this venom reboot. Looks like everything was a whole lot better up until this point, but I’ll keep reading because come-on Venom rocks.

  9. Never read a Rob Williams comic before, so it’s a bit of an unknown quantity, but the set up in the previous issue by Remender was awesome and with Jeff Parker to come [who I love], I can’t imagine this issue will mess it up too badly.

  10. I enjoyed #13. it was a solid 4 stars. I love X-23 im hoping they will do more with her than gage is doing with her in AA.
The female ghost rider is pretty kick ass to me. I like her style and attitude. Its a real shame that marvel doesn’t have a clue on how to market Female lead characters. X-23 was my fav ongoing.

  11. Really excited for this. The last page of #13 got me giddy. I love the look of all the mirror dudes.

  12. Is Rob Williams the guy who was writing the Ghost Rider book before it ended?

If so, then this crossover creative team change is starting to make sense.

    • Before him, it was Jason Aarron, Williams started some time last year before ‘Fear Itself’ Started.

Which was a huge drop in quaility between the two.

  13. I was pleasantly surprised by the art, which appeared to be colors on top of straight pencils. The story is still fun and seeing Dr.Strange getting involved was also a welcomed sight. Doesn’t match the regular Venom’s team overall quality, but the story keeps moving and it convinced me to at least try out the next issue as well.

  14. Well, I was pleasantly surprised. Solid art, story moved better than last issue and almost made the last issue make more sense. Looking forward to 13.2 next week. This has been such a solid book since it started.

  15. Meh. Kind of a let down. Not a bad issue but certainly lacked the Remender je ne sais quoi. Will struggle through until our hero’s timely return (i.e. in a few issues).

  16. Is this the same Garbett that was on Batman a little while ago with Morrison? He used to stand in for Tony Daniels? If so this guy was awesome this issue. The sketchy feel was sick… Loved teh book.

  17. I was happy with 13.1. Not perfect, but not bad at all. And Garbet has some skills! 4/5.
