  1. I don’t know anything about this book, but I enjoy that cover immensely

  2. God, that cover is so good!

  3. Next few covers are ridiculous! Love this book immensely.

  4. What a voltface from the usual cover style.  Shimizu is showcasing his multi-faceted talent!

  5. It’s HER multi-faceted talent, but you are correct. This book is SO good. I trade-waited for the first three volumes, but I couldn’t stand it any longer. I think it reads even better as a monthly, because of all the literary hat-tipping. This issue should get the current arc running full speed.

  6. I would buy a book of covers for this series.

  7. @TurdSandwich, got me!  Thanks for the info.  BTW, the kids and I were playing Marco Polo in the pool and we had fun switching the name to Yoko Ono.  Perhaps we’ll try Yuko Shimizu next.

  8. Excellent issue.  I love the backstory we’re getting.

  9. i love when comics are refered to as modern myths, and this was just so perfectly about that in the same way as Kavalier and Clay.  It made me wish there was a whole series just about that subject, and not just an arc.

  10. Almost POTW, such a great issue! This one really recaptured me, there wasn’t one aspect of the issue that didn’t hit just the right note.
