  1. PUGILISM!?!? sweet

  2. Wow, whatta great cover, Fraction is so on and off with me, mostly off with his Thor and Iron Man (except #500 was good), but have been really enjoying this.

  3. If that skank ends up cheating on scott, I’m gonna be pissed. I hope she gets a face full of crimson concussive blast! (but nvm because she probably won’t)

  4. Dropped this book after last issue.   Is it just me or does Fraction continue to ride Morrison’s new x-men coat-tails on this book?  Simultaneously repeating Morrison’s sentinal virus, Sublime corp, and Emma’s background story lines.

  5. @TheTaken, yea he seems to be recycling Morrion’s ideas except Morrison did them a million times better and with much better artists.

  6. I picked this issue off the racks today and said to myself:

“WHY the hell am I still buying this? The art has been the most abysmal thing since the art in the X-Factor Secret Invasion issues, and the story has been the most lackluster one out of all the X-stories. Am I that pathetic in that I’m buying this solely for the fact that it was ONCE good?”

Reading this series is like seeing a rock act that was popular 20-30 years ago who looks terrible on stage now. Sure, they play all the hits, but seeing their drug-whether faces and lack of entusiasm just makes you pity them.

Kieron Gillan can’t fully take over this title soon enough.

  7. @franktiger I feel complete opposite of you. I love his Iron Man and blah about this. Hopefully Kieron will be good for this book.

  8. I know I just said this book was blah but I loved this issue. Even Land’s art didn’t bother me too much.

  9. Regardless of the morrison stir-up i still like this arc. It gets slow at times but it may actually be emma’s stories that save it. I can’t really tell. Anyway, I liked this issue much better than i have been. It’s been a good week. Only the Magneto one-shot REALLY disappointed me.

  10. Now THAT’S the kind of cover that makes you embarrassed to read comics on the bus!

  11. I have to wonder if it was Fraction or Gillen who thought to refer to Facebook as the “Good Book”.  I just feel the need to know who to credit the genius to.

    solid issue all around

  12. Love it.  The moment I could tell that Gillen’s involved?  When Pixie, for the first time in forever, actually starts sounding Welsh.  “Tidy!”

  13. I like the basic ideas they are working with I just can’t get into it. I think mostly my problem is the substitute X-team we are following I could not care less about with the exception of Angel and I prefer the X-force version of him lately. As far as the art I have no problem with Land, personally I prefer his work over what Romita has been doing in Avengers.

  14. Did anyone else think the box captions were way too cutesy?

  15. Danger’s got a nice ass.

  16. Is anyone else amazed that Fraction’s kept up these intro boxes with the witty descriptions for like 3 years now?  The only thing consistent about them is their un-funny’ness.  Please let Gillen be good

  17. @comicBOOKchris  I feel exactly the same way.  The last time I dropped Unc. X-Men was when I was in college, but that was for purely financial reasons.  (Sadly enough I still haven’t been able to find all the issues to fill in that gap)

But I do think about dropping the book again almost every month.
