  1. NOTO!!

  2. Noto on art for this one and the final execution coming up! Hopefully this will get this series back on track.

  3. Looking forward to reading X-Force again.

  4. I didn’t hate the previous arc, but this issue should be a return to form for this series.

  5. Noto is so good and as comic fans, we should feel lucky to have him drawing anything in the medium.

  6. Should be great

  7. Phil Noto on Art: 8)

    More UXF by mail: 😉

  8. Cover is bad ass!

Looking forward to new artist on this book.

  9. the x-force train was riding on two wheels there for while. let’s hope this issue gets everything back on the rails.

  10. Phil Noto is excellent, I had no idea he was coming to this book, haven’t read it since Opena left and hope Noto sticks around. Curious as to how and why he got involved with this title. Infinite Horizon is some good Phil Noto and he always has good ones in weekly sketch up.

  11. WTFuck is this AoA shit in the solicit?

The last arc was my first and it seemed pretty good in a bat-shit crazy kind of way, but from reading the comments for this issue it seems the general consensus is that it was step down from previous arcs. Which issues should I go hunt down if I want to get the full “uncanny x-force rick remender” experience?

    • Age of Apocalypse (AoA) is related to the famous X-Men story and to the best arc of UNCANNY X-FORCE.

Anyway, of you want the best of the series, check out issues 1-19.

    • But seriously, if you’re looking for the best arc, “The Dark Phoenix Saga” is what you want. The stuff before that is pretty good, but acts a little like setup for that arc. Then it kicks into “absolutely inspired/amazing” mode. Then the last arc was a bit of a fluke, very different (especially in the art) from what is standard for Remender’s UXF.

    • They’re just about to begin year three.

      Get it all.

      8)

    • Yeah… I started with issue #10, and it was pretty straightforward which was great since the only X-Men that I have ever read was Joss Whedon’s run on Astonishing. The Dark Angel Saga was the best story arc I read last year.

  12. Excellent issue, and a nice wrap-up to a few loose threads. Bring on #25!

  13. This book is back! AoA Kurt is badass! I wonder if Deadpool will get a shot at Betsy too?

    • Honestly a little dissapointed with Remender on that front- hasn’t been much Psylocke/Deadpool interaction. I’m not talking as a love interest, but Daniel Way has proven that there’s at least some chemistry there and a lot of comedic gold (check out Deadpool #51 for a hilarious scene between him and Psylocke- also kind of deep, really).

  14. X-FORCE IS BACK!!!!! Oh god i can’t say enough good things about this book. 5 stars.

Also that deadpool love you long time panel better get some panel of the week love!

  15. This issue was better than any issue from the last arc. I though that the art was fantastic. Although, I should say that I was disappointed with this version of Iceman. I think there was more that could have been done with him. It’s really a big contrast with the regular iceman.

  16. My first taste of Noto’s art and I loved it. Much more akin to the style set by Opena and Ribic. I’m also a big fan of AoA Iceman and feel they could’ve dragged this out a couple issues longer to buildup to the kill. It’s just so much fun to see a fully realized Omega-level Iceman use his powers. I thought his death seemed a bit too easy. It feels like Remender’s quickly killed off or depowered nearly the entire AoA X-Men roster over the past year.

  17. I get what you guys are saying but I liked it was all done in one issue. I can give this one issue to someone and they get a complete story and enough other stuff they will want to come back.

  18. I agree with some of the above comments – this could easily have been stretched into a great 3 or 4 issue arc.

The AOA Iceman was cool (ouch – unintentional terrible pun) and they could have shown a lot more about his powers, what he was up to in the 616 universe plus they missed an opportunity for some classic mistaken identity antics at the Jean Grey school. Maybe pull in an Iceman VS. Iceman issue – maybe 616 Bobby starts to get some insight into X-Force … that’s it – move over Rick, I’m taking over!
