  1. I didn’t expect to like Miles Morales so much. Now I can’t wait for next issue. Bendis really surprised me, and Sara Pichelli’s art is sublime. This will probably be the first issue I read on Wednesday.

    • You’re not wrong. I used to read Ult. Spidey in trade, now I’m on it monthly. I can’t wait to see how this story develops. I’m hoping to see Miles in action before issue 7, like last time, but I’m sure it’ll be good character work until then

    • Yep. Summed it up perfectly. i like seeing how Miles is a different character than Peter. How Miles interacts with his family has been really good too, and i love Pichelli’s art as well.

  2. Classy cover, I must say. A middle schooler who can’t be more than 13 just crotching it up all over the place.

  3. I forced my non-comic reading friends to read this. Now they’ve started buying comics. Thanks, Ultimate Spider-Man!

  4. I love that this has basically been a bi-weekly book so far. Here’s hoping Pichelli can maintain that pace for a while!

  5. Love this book alot-Was this supposed to be a twice a month book or did Marvel just see $$$$ and say fuck it ship it
twice a month. I know people will say I don’t care about paying for a good book twice a month-I get that-just curious

  6. Not really sure about that cover looks like he’s about too light his fart=BLUE FLAME

  7. i don’t know who said it by someone on the site said this was the best relaunch of the last month. i totally agree

  8. I love the pacing of this book. The slow build to what will undoubtably be some amazing action and fight scenes is really working here.

  9. I’m waiting for him to get killed off so we can have a Brazilian-Japanese-Jewish Spider-Man the following month…

  10. I’m fine with the concept of switching up the power set and giving Miles something different to peter, but don’t his powers seem a little blah? Wasps sting and invisibility don’t interest me at all. Only me?

  11. Give me more Uncle Rico! I really enjoy this book. The first Spidey book I’ve actually read so my opinion could possibly have no basis….possibly.

  12. That was the cliffhanger I’ve been waiting for. Now the fun can really start!

  13. the cover looks awfully suggestive. im just sayin

  14. I LOVE this book. Hope this title gets in the hands of many young new readers. This is the perfect example of a book that can be read and enjoyed by all readers.

  15. Pichelli art alone makes this my pick of the week and my only 5-star book of the week….Great characterization to boot and Im looking forward to seeing where it goes from here.

Would love to see a Pichelli and Basri tackle art duties on a book together sometime.

  16. This is actually the first issue of the new series that I think is alright. Not great, mind you, but enough quality to where I’m slightly more optimistic about this character than I was one issue ago.

  17. I am enjoying the heck out of this book. First thing I read this week.

  18. Its entirely possible this may be my potw for three straight weeks that it has come out.

  19. I’m actually okay with this book slowly burning its way into Miles donning the costume, but can Kaare Andrews please stop putting costumed Miles on the cover? It’s giving me anxiety.
