  1. Wow, uh, I never thought I’d miss the long hair, but Lafuente’s short haired Peter Parker on the cover looks…. really off. I’m gonna pretend it’s Johnny Storm cos-playing. :-p

  2. They should spike up the hair.

  3. @kickass  Yeah it looks too neat.

  4. The Chameleon is a dirty old man pervert!!!

  5. Ugh, I just hate the chameleon. I really dont like stories that feature him, apart from super villain team up, replacing the hero. Didn’t like it in ASM, dont like it here either. I don’t know why I don’t like it but it just does my head in! THat said i’m still gonna buy it!

  6. Really liked this issue. Chameleon’s inner monologue was great. 5/5

  7. This was one of the best issues in this series.

  8. Really digging this book.

Amazing how it’s basically issue #140 or so of Bendis’ run. But the new art has really breathed new life into the series. It feels as fresh as ever.

What I really like about the art is Lafuente’s MJ & Gwen designs. Back during Bagley’s run, the two girls looked pretty much the exact same facially, just with different hair color. But Lafuente really has given each their own look and feel. Really like it. Not sure why he decided to make Iceman a midget though.

  9. This book is always a great surprise.  Somehow it’s just not a book that I think of as one of my favorites, yet every single month, I finish it and say to myself "oh that’s right, I love this book!"  I was slightly irked by the Chameleon’s closing line ("Tiger, we just hit the jackpot" or something to that effect).  I’m definitely a Bendis fan, but I just hate when he inserts these references for no reason.  He might as well just add to the panel a picture of himself winking, with a caption "GET IT?!?!"  But this book is great, so I’ll do my best to ignore that.

Firstly, great comic! But since there’s a picture of it on the cover, I like Pete’s old haircut. He looks like Davey Havok.
