  1. I really hope there’s a good reason for JJJ not liking spider-man again after what he saw in ultimatum

  2. @ RoiVampire,  I couldn’t agree more.  Jameson’s part at the end of Ultimatum was one of the few good points.  If this is undone than I will be pissed.

I hate to say it, I think my Ultimate Days are coming to an end, and I have each and every book so far.  It’s just not compelling compared to the Heroic Age in the main Universe

  3. Well Spidey’s bleeding. Maybe the best way to stop the bleeding is with the chair. He’s has super ultimate tough skin. Not just anything can stop the bleeding on super ultimate tough skin.

  4. @yyz I totally disagree.  The entire line may not be as dynamic, but USM and UA2 have both been great so far.  It took me a while to get used to Lafuente’s art, but after that I’ve loved USM.  Writing is just as fun too.

  5. I have to go with vadamowens here, the Ultimate universe has been fantastic, for the most part, since Ultimatum.  Sure not all the parts are great but when have they ever been?

  6. This book is always a delight!

  7. I love this book, and I don’t read any other ultimate verse stuff, maybe that’s what I love about it, fun stories told in a continuity that I am not at all invested in

  8. I also recommend reading that Ultimate Enemy mini. It was great.

  9. This book needs more John Siuntres in it.

  10. This book has been so so sooooo good.  Just consistently great.  Probably the funnest book I pull every month.

  11. David Lafuente can’t draw for toffee! Get a proper artist on this book!

  12. This was awesome and no one even donned a costume. That whole scene in the mall had me laughing. The expressions on everyone’s faces is what did it. I know his art isn’t to everyone’s liking but to coin an absolutely new never been heard before phrase, i’m lovin’ it.

  13. Fun issue, really. But it felt a little off for me. Not bad, no, just… slow? And not because they weren’t in costume, I love a lot of the scenes. Perhaps the parts at the Bugle? 4/5 for me.

  14. Can I jump in here, guys? I mean there’s a recap page, but can I? Thanks

  15. Yes.

  16. How has Bendis not Ultimized this Spidey villain before now?  It bottles the mind.

Well worth the wait however as it was a wonderful reveal and intro.

  17. @Conor. Thanks.

    GERONIMO!!

  18. @NathanNicdao: Yeah, I jumped on here after not reading USM in several years and I enjoyed it immensely.

  19. @ibagree: I’ve never read any USM before.. : D

But I noticed that Bendis’ Spider-man was delightful.

And then I heard/read a clamor somewhere for a Bendis Spidey book (I don’t know why they don’t know anything about this)

Anyway, INKS: David LaFuente-Garcia? Is it a typo, or did LaFuente get married and took the name?

  20. Oh, so, Garcia is his real last name.

  21. @SamMorgan

    I disagree.

  22. I loved this! Easy POTW! this reminded of my first few issues
of USM, with the Bugle and Urich and Peter thinking to himself again (God I’ve missed that
neuoritic internal monologue) and it looks like things are on the rocks for Peter and Gwen…YES!!! that means Peter can get back with MJ!!!! Woohoo I love comics!!!
