Hey, this Bendis guy’s pretty good.

So, obviously another pitch perfect Ultimate Spider Man issue.  For me this and Chew are the highest rate of laughs per panel of anything I’m reading right now, and both books manage to bring the jokes along with the character moments and cliff hangers. I’m just in awe of that level of story telling ability.

The one criticism I have as kind of an odd one to make, but since the hair cut, I’ve been having some trouble picking out Peter.  Lafuente’s art is unquestionably spectacular, but some of his faces blend together for me – wardrobe and hair having much more to do with how I differentiate people, and since Peter’s trim I keep mistaking him for Bobby or Johnny depending on the angle.

Story: 5 - Excellent
