  1. This season on the show has sucked, no pun, so hopefully this will be better.

  2. That is one bad cover…. but I do Lafayette, Bill and Sookie in comic form, so yay!!!

  3. This was terrible. A crazy spirit comes into the bar and starts killing people and every stays calm?!? I can’t see how anyone that likes the show would enjoy this. I certainly didn’t.

  4. Love the show.  But this… well, at least I know not to buy the next issue.

  5. @harske: Agreed. $4 I would have rather spent on something else. What are you thoughts on Season 3 so far?

  6. This book was fine.  It’s about what I expected.  It’s an ok complement to the show so I’ll continue to get it for my wife.  If you were expecting more, that’s your fault for setting expectations too high.  All these comics adapted from TV shows end up corny, but they are what they are.  It’s from IDW anyway.  How often do they release anything good?  GI Joe Cobra, Parker….. That’s about the only good stuff I recall and it was good, not great.

The show still rocks though.  It has been pretty funny.

  7. @400yrs: In my opinion it is lazy to blame expectations for a book being a let down. If there are no expectations what is the point of creating the book? There should always been expectations and if they are not met it is the books fault, not the readers.

  8. I get what you are saying but I’ve come to realize that "the point of creating the book" is to sell books as a cash grab for IDW.  These type of books always are. They don’t expect these series to last.  They just seem to want to sell a bunch of the first few issues and the ridiculous number of variants and call it a day.
