  1. I wonder how Rucka is going to deal with big action in this issue but I have faith.

  2. I struggle to find words for how awesome this book has been.

  3. probably my favorite marvel title. this or carnage.
anyway, rucka is rockn’ this piece of fine work.
i really dig checchetto’s pencils, too.
i would love to see him alternate with lark again and again, but, whatever.

  4. The most underrated book out.

  5. Never had the slightest inclination to read Punisher but I gave this a try last month and snapped up the back issues. Rucka is awesome and anyone who is pondering giving it a shot…give it a shot!

  6. This is a damn fine book that doesn’t get near the recognition of other damn fine books.

  7. A solid, well written, nicely drawn and self-contained 2.99 series. Yet the love doesn’t come in droves. My mind boggles.

  8. Has the artist changed since #1? Or is it still that painted style?

Miss being able to read a Punisher book, one by Rucka no less!, but I found that art style unreadable.

    • It’s the same artist with the same style. I know the IFandudes didn’t like the art either. It’s one of those “some people love it, some people hate it” things. I figure if you didn’t like the art in the first issue, unless you think it could grow on ya, give it a pass.

I find it clean and moody, which works great with Rucka’s less is more writing style, but that’s me.

  9. Never a Punisher fan. Loving this book. Top of my pile every month. The writing is unbelievably simple. The art, I like it, but it gets confusing when there is a lot of action occurring. It deserves the little praise it does get.

  10. Another fantastic issue. The writing is great. The art is gorgeous. This is one of the best books on the rack right now.

  11. blue on blue.
script and pencils intertwine to create something really special here. excellent cliffhanger.
next issue can not get here fast enough.

    • the punisher being in the shadows behind that douchbag on the last page: GOLD.
a lot of good books this week, but this one takes the cake. POTW
