  1. Bendis’s AvX issues have not been great. Deodato saves the day!

Last issues “dream sequence” was complete bullshit. Hawkeye, Luke Cage and Spider-Woman mowing throught the likes of heavy hitters like of a Phoenix empowered Colossus and Emma — not to mention, Havok and Polaris. I hate lazy writing — and that’s what last issue felt like.

  2. I’m so glad I’ve dropped this title. I haven’t read any of the AvX Avengers, New Avengers or Uncanny X-Men tie-ins and I’m still able to enjoy the main series just fine.

    Last issue was my Pick-of-the-Week.

    • I think that your username is genius. “PymSlap” Pure genius.

      Thanks @zattaric! Say, what’s your #1 series of 2012?

    • Hmmm…tough question. Wolverine & the X-Men was really strong, but it’s lost focus a bit with the AvX tie-ins. Daredevil & The Manhattan Projects are really strong too. It has to be Wonder Woman, though. I’m just so glad that one of my favorite characters has gotten a creative team that can make it work.

  4. Bendis writes Tony Stark in such a way that he comes across as an insecure tool.

  5. It may be just me but…I LOVE that someone finally pointed out to the Avengers that the X-Men haven’t done anything wrong besides fight back when the Avengers attack.

  6. It felt like this was an attempt to answer the “unspoken” questions readers would have:
    — Why don’t they use the Infinity Gems?
    — Why isn’t Xavier playing a bigger role in this?
    — Has anyone pointed out that the Avengers have been the aggressors at EVERY turn?
    — Where does the Fantastic Four (besides Ben) fit into this?

I don’t know if anything gets ANSWERED, but at least it’s addressed in some fashion. And, yet again, it’s pointed out that the X-Men didn’t do anything wrong- from the start- and they’re still attacked for it… And when presented with that fact, members of the Avengers seem to reply with an “… yea… but… but…”

  7. The Illuminaughty… ehem! nati, Illuminati come together once again, this time to assess the threat of the Phoenix.
