So whats the word on this book now? did it get any better? I dropped it around issue 3 or 4.
In my opinion, it did not get better. I had such high hopes for this title, but I believe it’s getting dropped at the end of this arc. So sad.
Ya it still isn’t that great, you should check out the beginning of the next arc stay angry with Steve Dillion art , punisher and drug cartels in Mexico. If that somehow fails to deliver I will be dropping this as well
The next arc does have me intrigued, and I’ll probably stay on for it…
But, I noticed Marvel is going back to double-shipping Incredible Hulk, and at $3.99 that’s $8 a month for a title I’m not in love with…sigh.
Is that right? Oh I wasn’t aware of that, who’s the source of that info
I just noticed it in Previews. 1 issue ships, then 2 weeks later another is coming.
Starting with Artifacts, then Journey into Mystery and now Incredible Hulk, I’m having a resurgence in my liking of Whilce Portacio’s art.
Wow, because I can’t seem to find any appeal to Portacio’s art. I think I would like this title a whole lot more if the art were more to my liking.
Portacio’s art has been on auto pilot lately. I have never been a big fan of his, and his Hulk work shows why he has always underwhelmed me…lazy storytelling, shoddy layouts and an ability to bore on the page I haven’t felt since late 80’s Marvel.
I want the art appreciation variant cover for this so badly.

That is one bold ass statement right there if I have ever read or heard. I like this title since it came out, very unique take for me on them being seperated. I will bet somewhere down the line this just can’t stay and they will be one. I want my Green Hulk back and I hope it’s in the AVX series. Really though this has been a fun title and yes the artwork has been pretty damn good and also confusing in others. I would say if you like the original Hulk this is probably not fir you, if you like something different with your Hulk then jump on in.

You can say that again! I just recently started buying Marvel since i’ve heard about the AvX and this is one title that i decided ive try, and I love it! I only ever watch the movie but this is one awesome twist on Hulk! I also like the art a lot, its different but very well done.
Also, Hulk looks way better and more like a true beast with all that hair.
I’m dropping this after this issue. Although I’ve never been a huge Hulk person, I was intrigued and wanted to know what Jason Aaron would do with the character. It’s been okay, just not enough here to keep me interested.
Stay Angry brings me back after dropping at issue #2.
IF I don’t dig on that, I won’t be back.
This hasn’t clicked for me yet, but I’m sticking with it. Jason Aaron usually delivers. I want to find out what happened to Banner too.
4 rating and I have been a big support for this title and I cannot see why there is no love here?? The artwork has been very good and the plot and story lines are really taking us into uncharted areas of the Hulks exsistance. Well you know as well as I do that the Hulk and Bruce are still one as you can see on the end page. I am not sure what Dr. Doom really did here with him however; I do not think he seperated them I think some how he supressed Banner deep inside the Hulk and quited him up and the other thing that he destroyed was no more than a clone and not the real Bruce!!?? Or could I could be way off, it just seemed to damn easy for Doctor Doom to do that and also seems to damn easy how he handles the Hulk.
