  1. It feels like forever since the last issue came out. Can’t wait to see what happens

  2. Epic is the only word that comes to mind!

  3. I have enjoyed this arc. Looking forward to this issue. To be honest I have been digging ASM since I was a kid, but really got back into it in Spider Island. For what its worth, I think this arc has been better though.

    • I agree that EotE is better than Spider-Island.

This has, for the most part, been a focus story. I found S:I too bombastic and over the top. Even though it was 8 issues no idea had any breathing time. Too many guest stars, too little exploration of Peter.

  4. Gonna be a kick ass ride on the way to the 50th anniversary issue! Did anyone see that cover for #688? Amazing stuff. Slott and Ramos are killing it!

  5. Can’t wait for this to arrive in the mail.

Piled up the entire EotE arc to read in one sitting.

  6. Yep, excited to see how this all pans out. Slott has killed it on ASM, EotE is just another arc to prove that, brilliant.

  7. This was the best issue of this arc and is now one of my favorite ASM issues. It had EVERYTHING. Big super hero battle, plot twists, betrayals, race against time, Spidey choosing between saving Sable and stopping Otto, awesome final one on one battle. Awesome.

    Also loved Mysterio’s social commentary

  8. This was awful, Slott seemed to be writing on speed and it seems like he needed more pages. Caselli was all over the place, and I get it Slott “NOBODY DIES” way to hit beat people over the head with this.

That last line made me groan,

    1/5

  9. Kinda mixed feelings on this…overall it was pretty good but there are just little things that kind of annoyed me…like the suddenly realizing they had the ability to stop the mind controlled Avengers all along, that happened a couple of times in this arc. But overall this was a good story arc and a pretty good issue. Also, pretty sure the “death” at the end didn’t really happen, based on the cover to the next Avenging Spider-man, but it’s misdirection….

  10. I enjoyed this a lot but I couldn’t help feeling like this could have done with maybe one more issue, just to spread it out a little so it wouldn’t have felt so rushed. I can’t shake the feeling that Slott had to get to the end really quickly. A lot went down in this issue, so it did feel a little crammed. There wasn’t much time to dwell on Silver Sable’s “sacrifice” because the book was nearly over by that stage.

Nonetheless it was still very good and the whole arc has been great.

  11. I liked this event as a whole but this issue seemed too packed and wordy. I’m not sure how I feel about the death either. I always liked Sable and I was really excited to see her back when this event started.
