TERMINATOR 2029 #2 (OF 3)

In the barely-remembered time before the Terminators, the life of a young woman key to humanity’s survival depends on the actions of Kyle Reese in present-day 2029. But Kyle may not live long enough to help Sarah Conner if he and his companions Ben and Paige can’t escape Skynet’s terrifying new weapon-Terminators that look just like people!

Guided by information about a hidden Cyberdyne facility, the three friends must brave T-800s, HKs, rogue resistance gangs, and other threats in their search for any advantage against the machines. What they can’t anticipate is the nature of the incredible resource hidden within the facility’s walls!

  1. Assuming this is the Kyle Reese-centric series by one of the Whedon brothers, I really enjoyed the first issue.  Kind of what Salvation should have been.

  2. The sudden title changed caused me to miss #1 until last week. I thought it was pretty good.

The jokes about the Sarah Connor picture were awesome. I’d never thought of that before.

  3. @Slockhart  — I’ll be honest, I’d thought of that *a lot*, which is one reason I loved the first issue of this comic.  Kyle and Sarah are my favorites, but their kid grows up to be a messed up SOB by any definition.

  4. Another good issue, but the twist at the end really rubbed me the wrong way.

This book’s getting too good.  It’s already making me want to pick up that Predators mini coming up.  And I just know that once I go down the licensed property road, I’m going to get burned really bad.  Anyone know if AVP Three World War is any good?
