  1. Red Robin! But… JT Krul… But Red Robin!

  2. @Minion  JT Krul has been really good on this series. One bad mini-series does not define a writer’s career.

  3. @Conor I will have to see. I gave him a chance with Green Arrow and it lost me around issue 3. It wasn’t really bad. Just a little too weird.

  4. I totally forgot to pick up RR#20.

Is it worth going back and picking up, or should I just barrel on through this story?

  5. I really like Red Robin.  To see him reunited with his Teen Titan teammates makes me hope for his return to that book too.  Could it be an “All New Teen Titans” after #100?

  6. Love seeing Tim with the Titans again! Also, talk about a good looking crossover! To and Scott? Worth the price of admission all by themselves.

  7. @Minion @conor is right! While I am primarily interested in this book for Nicola Scott’s gorgeous artwork, JT Krul’s writing has been solid so far. Good fundamentals and he at least seems to be familiar with the characters and what makes a good team book work. I’m really beginning to suspect that all the shit people associate him with (eg: Rise of Arsenal) was all editorially mandated.

His Blackest Night Titans stuff, both the miniseries and the two issues of this series (#77 & #78) featuring the Wilson clan that tied into the event, was all good too. I say if you like the Teen Titans then give him and Nicola a shot! I dropped the book a few issues into Sean McKeever’s run and never looked back for several years, but I just picked it back up with their first issue (#88) and I am loving it!

  8. Oh crap! I just noticed this says art and cover by Georges Jeanty! Although that cover is pretty obviously drawn by Nicola Scott, I could tell even if it weren’t for her signature.

Oh well, I’ve been waiting for/dreading the inevitable fill-in issue and here it is. I just hope it looks okay and Nicola comes back to us soon!

  9. @Kenkneisel My main reason for not picking this up regularly is monetary. My regular stack is big enough as it is.

  10. @Minion Hey, I totally hear ya! I’m pretty broke right now and actually just slashed my official store pull list down to the absolute bare bones. I’m currently pulling just Teen Titans, Zatanna, Batwoman which doesn’t even come out until April and Empowered which only comes out like once a year or so anyway.

  11. Well. That was average.

@kenkneisel Man that is a short list. I commend your ability to restrain yourself much more than I can.

  12. Art was BAD.

  13. This was boring. It’s like all the greatness of the last four issues just ground to a halt.
