I liked the first few issues, but the last one was a little off.
I don’t pick this up but that cover is amazing.
This story seems so derivative… More so than usual. The older mentor and the group of people who have been fighting for years so they already have resources in place blah blah blah , blah blah blah. Yeah I dropped it
Yeah, I’m about to drop it, too. Don’t know if I will get this issue or not. Not really impressed with Tynion’s writing at all. I thought this was gonna be fun and cool but it’s nothing great – there are a few New 52 books I’m about to drop for mediocrity, and this is one of them.
Yep…Flash and Superman are on deck for me.
Love it that Tynion has to clarify for two straight issues that this takes place in NYC and not Metropolis. Weird DC doesn’t even care to correct this even with the fucking Statue of Liberty on the cover. (Forgive the language)
I love this book. I really do like the back story and the characters. Yeah its a story thats probably been done before, but name a story that hasn’t been rehashed in some fashion. The art is really cool and I love the way that everything flows. Yeah its a bit verbos at times, but thats ok by me. I enjoy a book that has a lot of text sometimes. Its a fun series and I hope that it continues and gets even better.
I guess I have no complains about this book. I love anything about the Talons. I think it’s cool how they are exploring the history of the Court of Owls.
Really enjoyed this issue for the simple fact that it had a lot of action and reminded me a little of the old Batman Knightfall arc with a Bane-like character chasing Calvin.
I thought this issue was great. The Butcher is a good villain for Calvin. I really enjoyed the escape sequence with Calvin on the back of the train. Nicely executed.
Very good issue. I’m guessing we will be seeing the Gotham Butcher again in the not too distant future.
