Either this is going to end on an upbeat note or be super depressing.
The last Jeff Lemire thing I read was Lost Dogs so I know better than to hope for something even remotely cheery.
Lost Dogs is really his only work to date that is that depressing. The Nobody, Essex County, and his latest Underwater Welder are not necessarily happy-go-lucky tales but they aren’t depressing by any means. I think Sweet Tooth will have a satisfying ending that will be neither depressing or cheery but certainly satisfying.
