SWEET TOOTH #12

In this stand-alone story, we take a peek into a day in the life of Gus as our favorite antlered boy finds moments of surprising tenderness in the grueling militia camp. Meanwhile, Dr. Singh recounts the events of the plague. The shocking revelations continue in this great jumping-on point to Vertigo’s Eisner-nominated buzz book!

  1. Part of my sincerely hopes that’s what Lemire’s pencils look like when he sends them off to Villarubia.

  2. Oooooh this sounds good! I see this as my early contender for potw

  3. This is how every comic artist does it I reckon. Or at least we gotta do the same on Wednesday. I smell a crayon project this week!

  4. Is this a paint by numbers? I think Next Champion is right, this might need to be coloured in. (I’m English I’m typing colour with a U).

Another great cover. No matter what Sweet Tooth is going to have a good collection of covers by the end of the series

  5. Thats a great cover. I read the series in trade, but this might be worth picking up on its own.

  6. Yes! The first one shot. Can’t wait!

  7. One of the best series that i’m currently reading so athe first one shot sounds good

I’m going to read The Essex County Trilogy and The Nobody quite soon

  8. The Essex County Trilogy is fantastic.
    The Nobody was ok.
I bought the first Sweet Tooth trade but haven’t gotten to it yet.

  9. The Nobody was pretty weak…a potboiler set to simmer.  I wouldn’t recommend it.  Sweet Tooth is a more compelling story with way more action.

  10. Top of my read stack this week, love this book!

  11. This was my POTW for being a unique issue and having some amazing artwork in it.

    5/5

  12. GodDAMN this is a great book, seriously just pitch perfect every month

  13. Very solid, again.  I like these background issues.  They make the world the book depicts feel more real.

  14. This was awesome.

  15. I feel like I knew all that already.

  16. We did know all that already, more or less. Doesn’t stop it being an excellent issue, with outstanding art.

If anyone hasn’t picked up Sweet Tooth yet, get them to start with this issue. It was clearly designed as a great jumping on point.

  17. Best issue yet!

  18. I really like Sweet Tooth but it’s been a year and we haven’t moved very far. Wasting another month on basically a recap issue is disappointing to me.
