SUPERMAN BATMAN ANNUAL #5

Picking up where March’s JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA #55 left off, “Reign of Doomsday” amps up the danger as Supergirl and Batman are trapped aboard the Justice League satellite with Cyborg Superman and Doomsday – and both villians want to tear them limb from limb! A “who’s who” of the DCU shows up to aid in the battle, but there’s something different about Doomsday – something even the Justice League of America might not be prepared for! The story continues in this month’s SUPERBOY #6!

  1. is anyone reading this “reign of doomsaday” event and if so is it worth picking up??

  2. Yes, I’m reading it but no, it hasn’t been all that fun.

  3. It’s OK that I’m gonna wait till it’s all published, ain’t it? I think it’ll be better all at once.

  4. Well it has been kinda of hum-drum and nothing like life shattering going on  since I believe the  Doomsday character has lost its shock factor and seems to have lost its way in the DC Universe. The Superman-Batman book has had it’s ups and downs through out this series and I am close to dropping the title. I will see how this annual roles out and then maybe one more regular issue. The Doomsday thing is being down played somethings up?? Whats with him now having these new powers?? I think DC Universe is coming to a head because all of these SUPER, SUPER BADDIES are showing up all over the DC Universe like:

New and improved god like Lex Luthor, Kronos, Doomsday, and a host of others; just take a look around the DC Universe. Where is Darkseid???????

    Just sayin,,

  5. The Brave and the Bold title was so much more interesting to read but they let that fizzle out when when they played up the Kids WB title. Superman-Batman just hasn’t held a strong interest for me yet this just seems to keep trudging along.

  6. I read this again just to see if I was just tired and not really in the mood and well it has some good artwork and then Doomsday becomes part cyborg(stupid), just thought the story was well dum.
Whatever is going on with Doomsday it is not the real Doomsday because now he is adapting powers? Is it really Amazo or something? That would be a good plot twist and a good character to bring back as a real power house villan. Anyway this is just not that good except for some fight scenes.

  7. Nice artwork and it was my favorite James Robinson story since the beginning of New Krypton (that was terrible in the middle and end). I am not a Robinson fan, but this was pretty good. I’d recommend it.

  8. This was better than the previous Reign of Doomsday issues, for sure.

  9. Sepulveda is the #1 comic book artist there is today.
