  1. Albuquerque makes this already good book an amazing book!

  2. I agree.

  3. I’ve always wondered, is this title considered canon?

  4. Yeah, it’s canon just like any other book that doesn’t defy established continuity would be, it just doesn’t necessarily fit neatly into the present continuity for the main books (so for example last month had Tim Drake as Robin in spite of recent events, you just have to assume it happened sometime prior to those events).

Albuquerque is SO good. He’s going places.

  5. @southbymidwest: Thanks for clearing that up for me;I’ve never read the title consistently, but that always was a question I had.

  6. I love this book so much. and the fact that this issue’s gonna have a giant monkey in it makes me love it all the more.

  7. Light week for me so i’m pulling this title to give it a try. Hopefully it will be good.

  8. I kind of hope Alfred is a total bad ass in this.

  9. Awesome issue! The one and done stories from the last two issues were great and once again the art was spot on. Great book.

  10. This was a great one shot story!!! The only downside was that it was not longer.  I think they could revisit this world and bring out more of the background to the story.

  11. This is the book from where I get my Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne. I’ll be reading this, even if it isn’t brilliant. I’ve read similar stories in other several comics, but the plot has it’s moments, and the art is fitting it very well. 4 stars from me.

        "My city still needs me."

  12. 4 stars from me too, 4.5 if I could.  Very good story and the art was fantastic!

  13. I just made this my P.O.W.   I did not plan on buying this but I’m so glad I did,  solid book.

  14. I don’t understand why there is no continuity with DC comics, its one of the reasons I’ve wanted to just drop DC as a whole however Blackest night, batman (along with his other titles), and this are just so good lol.  Was this and the last issue filler?

  15. I read this on a whim and I’m glad I did – it was great!

  16. Loved the writing. Albuquerque’s artwork sucks. It looks like a 10 yr old draws this book now. I’ve read every issue of this book from the beginning, and it really sucks that this now looks like one of those Saturday morning cartoons with such primitive artwork. Get rid of this Albuquerque guy. He absolutely sucks !!

  17. Albuquerque makes me want to go back to reading Amazing Spiderman in spite of Brand New Day. If he shows up in the next issue, I will cancel my subscription and spend my money on a comic drawn by an artist rather than someone’s kid.

  18. I too didn’t plan on buying this, but decided to after flipping through it in the store. I thought this was a great modern, gritty take on a silver age type of story, especially the ending (note the nod to the old World’s Finest stories on the last page. Awesome). Personally, I thought Albuquerque’s sketchy, expressionistic style fir the mood of the story perfectly. This was a nice surprise, and ended up being my Pick of the Week.

  19. Brillant.
