  1. Finally wrapping up! Been so delayed

  2. Might I say it’s about time. I might. In fact, I just wrote it. This series has been great the first four issues and if issue five can wrap it up nicely, then I think it’ll be worth the lengthy wait.

  3. Wish I had trade waited for this. The delays hurt the momentum but also because the art has been so gorgeous and it is the type of book that I could see myself loaning to friends over and over again. I will probably end by the trade anyways.

  4. The delays KILLED the momentum. When #4 came out, I didn’t even bother reading it because I knew this issue would take forever too. Now I have to go back a read the whole thing from the beginning to remember what is going on.

  5. I did the same thing witth Issue 4 as you, Butch.  I actually had bought the first 3 issues the same day, I was a little late into the series.  I tore through those 3 but I didn’t want to have to wait between 4 and 5 since I was aware of the delays.  This is a pretty crazy cooky weird neato story, though.

  6. I have enjoyed this book but comics like this, where the entire story is told in the past tense, always kind of annoy me. It feels like there are no stakes because everything has already happened. You may not know WHAT has happened but whatever it is, it is said and done.

  7. yep, what with the delays on a popular series, one never knows where the series is… didn’t even know # 4 was out.  this sort of thing makes me want to switch to trades altogether.  Especially when I’m shelling out 20 bucks for all 5 books and then it will be on Amazon for 13 bucks and in a more convenient package.  Pisses me off that us front end suckers pay more and get less service only to effectuate savings for the back enders.  It feels like i’m the middle class getting squeezed.

  8. Delays never bother me if it means a consistent art team.  A book suffers a LOT more when it’s a different name on every damn issue.  Cannot wait to read this, first 4 issues were excellent.

  9. @USPUNX: You called it on past tense.

This story makes little sense, but I’ve loved every page of it thus far. That’s never happened for me before.

  10. I didn’t know mushrooms were so badass!

  11. This was weird. Cool, but sort of petered out at the end.
