  1. this book has been so mediocre that I hardly have anything to say every time it comes out…

I kinda hate when a book is neither good nor bad

    • I feel exactly the same way. Asrar’s art is pretty good, but the plots have not been that compelling. It is a shame because I really like this character. Sadly, issue #9 may have been my last.

    • I know what you mean, wangman. Mediocrity makes for tougher decisions. If everything just rocked or sucked, it would make choosing your books that much easier!

I read the issue with George Perez on art, and while I enjoyed it sort of, it wasn’t good enough for me to want to read it without his art. I don’t know if Green and Johnson have ever written anything I’ve read that I didn’t think was mediocre.

    • Agreed, I feel bad for wanting to drop the book because I love the artwork and it’s not been bad, but there is rarely anything exciting happening, and if the issue with Perez on artwork was a sign of things to come, with Supergirl talking to birds and having a girls night out, then I am out, artwork be damned!

  2. I’ve enjoyed it, but I am getting a bit burnt-out on the New 52/DCnU.

There are fewer and fewer DCnU books that find myself caring about each month, and I am losing steam on this one.

(Other recent losses were Green Lantern, Legion Lost, Wonder Woman, and Superman.)

    • I think Asrar’s art and my affectio for the original Kara is keeping me on board. I can’t say that it’s been bad, but I do think it’s time to inject some supporting characters and consistency into this title. Bring on Linda Danvers!

    • You dropped Wonder Woman? I love that book.

I have read a lot of people saying they are losing interest in the new 52, but I am still quite enjoying it. I’m reading about 30 of the 52 books I think. I dabbled with Marvel at the start of AVX, but I was so disappointed, I feel happier back in DC’s arms.

  3. I’ve been enjoying this incarnation of Kara. Comics Alliance has an excellent interview with these guys and I’m excited to see where they take it. The Worldkillers arc was kind of boring to me but I’ve been digging these Silver Banshee episodes.

and you find Wonder Woman boring? That’s one of my favorite comics of all time.

  4. The first few arcs were lackluster, but this one is great. I love the origin of the Silver Banshee and cannot wait to see how this turns out!

  5. I just find the change in the art duties in WW disappointing and the story going on a bit long in WW.

There are apparently other readers at the stores where I shop who are dropping the book, too. There are a lot of copies of the last 2 issues still on the shelves, so if ever get the yen to go back to WW, the issues should be available.

I remember the first 4 or so issues of WW being great reads. The current ones seem a little … I dunno … “less great” to the point where I feel no real driver to get the series for now.

  6. Huh. I’m in the minority, I guess. I thought everything up to this storyline was fun, but this is just boring and dragging. Different strokes…
