  1. I thought Starlin’s first issue was great – probably the best SW issue of the new 52 run.

  2. I’m new to Lobo. Was last issue is first New 52 appearance?

  3. Another fun Starlin issue. I didn’t love the Lobo origin stuff and the art is generally unexceptional, but the series seems to have this unencumbered creative mojo now that’s absent from far too many DC titles.

    Stickin with it:)

  4. This one lost me a little, but I enjoyed it anyway.

The characters aren’t quite there yet and the art was pretty sloppy. However, the cosmic headfukkery of it all, together with the sheer majesty of Starlin, as he blends bizarre concepts with his own unique brand of oddly narcotic playground brutality kept me comfortable enough to ignore the fact that I had no clue as to what was going on.

As an aside: This was my first exposure to Lobo, he came off as a bargain-basement Wolverine and also, a bit of a dick. Is he always like that, or was this just a bad rendering of him?

    • I would say he’s more than a dick – he murdered his entire planet.

And Wolverine did beat him way back in Marvel vs DC – though that was because of the fan vote.

  5. I think I’m out. Too many creative team changes, and now a complete retooling of the title. I’ve lost interest. I thought it had good potential for a while there.
