  1. No shock this book has been FUN!

  2. Best part of the first week of the month is a new issue of Static

    • If you say so. I have not read the new series yet.

I read the preview, and the interior art is not doing much for me. Chris Brunner, to me, is a better fit, and his cover is selling inferior art.

  3. I wouldn’t be “shocked” if this series got the axe soon.

  4. Told yah so! Just had to say it.

    Just sayin’,

    K

  5. The only thing keeping me from totally enjoying this book is McDaniel. Here I am at issue 3 and there are still panels that make NO sense. Where are the character’s head? Where are the arms?

I personally don’t think this style of art is right for this book. The production and coloring are spot-on, but the anatomy and staging are far below what I expect to see for a former Milestone book where things more obvious [read: realistic]. Everything else is working for me.

And by the way… Why are there TWO of his sister?? And when are we going to see Virgil’s meetings with Hardware ‘face to face?’ Gimme some ‘what happened before we got here’ while we’re at it! And if you can’t prove this isn’t the doorway to the Milestone U soon, I’m outta here.

I say all that knowing Static ‘Shock’ is an easier sell than Icon going into this new DCU.
Alien, indeed. Wait for his pitch and relaunch.
