Really excited for this book. I’ll buy any Garth Ennis first issue to give it a try. With The Boys ending soon it’s nice to have another ongoing to jump on.
I’ve never liked Garth Ennis, but may give this a try.
Garth Ennis and the Shadow seem like an odd mix. Maybe that’s why I’m so excited to check this out and see how Garth does. His Battlefields work is some of the best comics I’ve ever read.
Personally i didn’t like it. pointlessly gory, Cranston’s a dirtbag. and the spiell on Japanese WWII atrocities just seemed there to justifiy the gore two pages over. nice art though. (that said the type on the newspaper headline was horrifically bad).
Loved the sweet Jae Lee cover i got.
Aaron Campbell was absolutely fantastic in Matt Wagner’s Green Hornet Year One. Will definitely pick this up.
Not enough action, but a good start. I’m sticking with this for a bit.
I love the pulp stuff; The Spider, The Shadow, Doc Savage.
