The first issue ended on such a suprising cliffhanger I wonder what will happen now.
I didn’t know who this guy was before I picked up issue one and I the comic did not make me care to find out more. Maybe this one is for fans of the character only cuz I was lost and thats not a good thing when an issue is a #1.
I understand that issue #1 might not have conveyed the greatness of the character for people who have not read any Starman before. But trust me, if you give this book its time there is a good chance that you will enjoy it – and want to read more about him. Jack Knight and the Shade are among the most interesting creations introduced during the last 15 years.
All right, what the heck I am in for one more issue. Any recomendations for Starman or Shade to catch me up? Thanks!
Starman Omnibus Vol. 1. You will not be disapointed.
Actually you will be disappointed. Disappointed that there are only 5 more Omnibus Volumes to go.
If the Omnibus seemed to expensive I’d recommend the first TPB: “Starman: Sins of the Father”. True greatness for the ages, I’d say.
Not in a hotel room, or watching porn, but am spinning that Zero 7 album. Still excellent as always. Another great issue and almost my potw if it was not for The Flash.
I love this book! I hope the bring Starman (Mikaal Tomas) back for another cameo and Congorilla with him. This should have been part of the New 52. It’s different, fun, dark, and very Vertigo. They should give Shade an ongoing title at DC comics. I heard that the artist will rotate which makes me a little sad because I could look at Cully Hammers art all day long. Can you hear me DC bigwigs? You have to give this artist his own book too.
I been lovin this book, all I knew about Robinson before this was his work on jla which I was not a huge fan of but decided to try this for whatever reason an glad I did and yeah the art is really nice too and I kinda like the idea that they’re changing artists every 3 issues or so, like that’ll help keep it fresh too. This gives me hope that robinsons jsa might be really good also,so I’m lookin forward to tryin that now whenever it comes out…
I have just read this book. Very good and an improvement to No. 1. I’d have preferred the older Bobo Bennetti, though.
I gave it a 4; the artwork is fair and I like seeing the development of The Shade. He has always been one of my favorite villians and now I can’t believe I am actually in his corner! Some how I do not believe Slade is that stupid enough to think he killed The Shade that easily!! Something seems fishy there??HHHMmmmmmm!
