Oh yeah, let the fun continue!
I feel alienated and lonely just thinking about this book
@edward And I feel embraced by the warmth of Mickey Eye!
i feel like a big mac
I feel whimsical just reading it.
I hope 1/2-an-animal on a stick comes back he was the break-out star of the first issue, for sure.
I want more chubby da choona.
Will I be totally lost if I pick up "Slaves of Mickey Eye" without having read the first "Seaguy" trade? There’s a sole copy of the first ish lying around the store and I’m really eager to snatch it up, but I dunno if that’s a good idea if I’ve never read the first arc…
@ShonenRafa77. yeah i’ll pick the first trade up first. it should be cheap
This is my first exposure to Seaguy–I didn’t have any trouble jumping in. I’ll say one thing tho, I tried reading it straight through and got pissed off. Then I came back and just tried to follow the story on art alone…THAT hooked me believe it or not. The story is just not that complicated if you take a step back. Jump in and enjoy.
I haven’t read this issue yet, but theres a very strong chance it will be my potw if its anything like the first issue.
edward: Thanks, I just looked on Amazon and it looks like I’m definitely in luck; I hope it’s an awesome read
This issue was fantastic. POTW for me. Enjoyed it more than the first issue.
Holy crap, that was some good stuff. I’ve been loving this series a lot more than the first.
Really good issue. And slightly less convoluted. Still very Morrison (Cross Dressing Bulls!) and very good. Cameron Stewarts art was great, too. 5/5.
"LOOK OUT! HE IS BECOMING THE SIZE OF AN OAK!"
VIVA EL MACHO!
Still not sure what the hell is going on, but this book just makes me smile.
i like it. this was a happy ending. i feel like Seaguy is going to reclaim some identity which has been stolen from him by the Soulless consumerist machine of Mickey Eye.
this is really similar in theme to films like Americian Beauty, in so far as, it’s a reflection of that shallow possession obsession modern culture.
Morrison hasn’t done cross-dressing this compelling since Invisibles.
