  1. I liked Yost and Kyle run on X-Force plus his Red Robin was good. I’m digging the fact that this takes place in Texas so i’m going to give this one a try and I always dug Kaine as a clone of Spider-man who actual kills folks . Come on Marvel please wow me this time cause the last #1’s I’ve tried have not been my cup o’ tea.

  2. I am 90% buying this for Stegman and and 10% because I liked Scarlet Spider during the 90s.

  3. While I want to see what’s next for Kaine, I’m not sure if I can fit another ongoing into my budget. I might just wait to hear this is first

  4. Man, I have been waiting for this since It was announced. CAN’T WAIT!!

  5. i STILL miss the hoodie. But I’m so excited for this!

  6. Ben Reilly > Kaine

  7. Born and raised in the Houston area. That’s why I’m trying this book out. Nice to see some H-town representation in comics! I remember as a kid wondering how Spider-Man would be able to websling through the urban sprawl.

  8. Thinking about picking this one up. It’s not a light week for me so it could be tough.

  9. This is one of those instances where I am bummed my DCBS shipment comes on Fridays. I’m jealous of the Wednesday people right now.

  10. I used to be a big fan of Amz Spider-Man but since Dan Slott took over I stopped reading it because I can not stand the way he protrays Parker as a whinny little bitch who is always pondering over a girl. I needed a spidey fix and I think I’ve found it with Scarlet Sp. This is how you do a #1 issue. Great introduction to Kaine without it being overly back story heavy. I’ve read the clone saga growing up but I think Yost did a great job at being new reader friendly while still showing love to the long time spidey fans. Stegman on art to me looks alot like Greg Capullo which is not a bad thing at all and big props to whoever made this take place in Houston. If only I could get a comic book hero that takes place in Tampa Bay….4/5

  11. I liked it quite a bit however don’t think there will be enough room on my pull list every month considering I already have 3 other spidey titles on it (Avenging, Ultimate, and Carnage). I’ll just have to see what my budget looks like next month. 4/5

  12. I felt so bad for Kaine in this issue and was hoping he would have something to feel good about however; it went the other way and he is just a miserable sob. I like the character and really thought things were going to be better for him since he left Peter and seems to be cured. I really hope he turns around abd becomes a bad a$# super hero, I am in his corner.
