February 14, 2012 5:26 pm I didn't overlook that potential outcome Smasher. Good books get cancelled. I'm just making the point that it doesn't really matter about what came before or after. Just enjoy these things for what they are. If it is a good book, these concerns fade away and are forgotten . . . even if it only runs for 7 issues. James Robinson is writing a DC book. Usually that's good for us readers.
February 13, 2012 12:38 pm If the stories and art are good, does it really matter? If it sucks, the books will be cancelled.
January 10, 2012 12:01 pm Born and raised in the Houston area. That's why I'm trying this book out. Nice to see some H-town representation in comics! I remember as a kid wondering how Spider-Man would be able to websling through the urban sprawl.
January 9, 2012 3:05 pm I'm asking the same question. There isn't really a story here. Someone had the wrong idea about the book and posted his comments and now the internet is picking apart his opinion and back tracking while he's trying to save face. Must be a slow news day. Move along folks.
November 6, 2011 9:34 pm What was this supposed to be? What a waste of money.
June 7, 2011 1:59 pm I think this article is a bit premature. We still have over a 1/3 of the books yet to be announced. A lot of new titles and concepts out there are being announced. I'm sure all of this wouldn't be published unless there were some really compelling storylines being plotted. I don't know how comic creators think, but maybe some of the ones you suggested simply aren't interested.

All I know is everyone is talking about DC right now.
February 3, 2011 1:11 pm With all of the iPads and tablets, they need to embrace digital. Same day release. Who wants to read a comic published three years ago?

Promote comics with movies. Marvel owns a studio now. Put a trailer before Thor about the new Thor comic that can be downloaded to your iPad that day, and cheaper than $2. That price point is way too high for first time readers. Warner Bros can do the same thing. It is like they aren't even trying to get new readers.
