  1. After a year DC reprints issues I could already get in softcover. I have volume one and I want the hardcovers but i dont see why there is a long gap between releases especially when the softcover editions are still available

  2. DC’s trade program is definitely frustrating, but I really do like the HC format for this series.

  3. I love Swamp Thing #21 and all, but this series of issues is where Alan Moore’s Swamp Thing really becomes the best comic series of the ’80s as far as I’m concerned. The stuff with Abby, the battles with Arcane, the journey to Hell–this is where Moore’s story really becomes expansive.

That said, ICK @ the cover to this. Just a generic picture of Swampy? So many other images they could have used on the cover. Does the dust cover show something different? Or, what does the cover look like without the dust cover on it? Seriously, that stupid generic image is preventing me from buying this…even though I already have all of the issues (in b&w "Essential Vertigo" single issues).

  4. The dust covers are ugly but the actual book has a really cool picture imprinted on it. At least the first one did.

@OnASunday – – Nope, DC just stamped this one ‘Saga of the Swamp Thing.’

This is my first time reading this series in color. It enhances the experience. Does anyone love the Swamp Thing films or TV series? I’ve never come across them.

  7. ^From what I know the films and TV series were not good. I’ve only seen bits and pieces of them, though, and that was when I was younger.

Can anyone provide a link to a pic of the cover under the dust cover?
