  1. My wallet thanx you Marvel! Because of you, I’m buying less and less comix.

  2. Just when this book was getting going. Damn you, Marvel. I understand they’re in the business of making money, but they should have given this book more of a chance.

  3. Chester Cheeto Beast didn’t help. Not one bit. In fact I didn’t think any other incarnation of beast could outugly the current catbeast.

  4. I thought that the style of Beast fit the style of the story.  I think it’s too bad that the series was cancelled, but I’m really just excited to see how Gillen ends things.

  5. @Mangaman-The Beast by Bianchi was the fucking worst. Now that i think of it, everything Bianchi draw’s fucking ugly.

  6. Thats a god damn great cover.

  7. I really liked this series and am bummed its going away.  Ah well.  I also did not mind the Beast art as well – I like to see artist interpret characters.

  8. Fraction grabbed the Kitty Pryde storyline, Beast was wanted for the Avengers (I think, but not confirmed yet), Bendis was doing something totally different with SWORD in Spiderwoman, and initial sales stunk like 35-day old fish. So yes, it sucks that this is canceled, but you can kind of see why it happened. Now hopefully they can find something more marketable that Kieron (and Sanders?) can attack with a similar style, because this mini-run was definitively awesome.

  9. I want Gillen and Sanders to do a Nextwave relaunch if Ellis is done for good. This book was a silly departure from current Marvel stuff.

  10. SWORD, we hardly knew ye. I’m sure it will be a great finale, but I can’t help bt wonder what could have been. Oh well.

  11. I will be wearing my black arm band when I pick this up tomorrow.

I was a strong Marvel-ite a year ago, but they keep cancelling my favourite books. At this rate my pull list will be all DC and indie books.

Marvel please take note. Though I know you wont.

  12. Marvelous.

  13. This was a great little series. I loved the very last page. Very sweet.

  14. I’m almost sad that this last issue was sooooo fantastic. I want #6 so bad.

  15. @ Cromulent

I loved the last page. It was a great ending, Beast and Brand together. Whereever Beast ends up next I hope there is good reason for him not working for SWORD. I hope the end of SWORD isn’t the end of their relationship.
