  1. I am excited for this new chapter. I’ve been a fan of the series from the get-go, but a new direction was desperately needed. Not to mention a new artist. I hope this lives up to and surpasses my expectations.

  2. I liked the direction of the other 3 lantermn books so lets see how this one is. Like sitara119 I too have high expectations. I’ve been reading this from the beginning and have liked it as much as any of the other lantern books.

  3. I liked GL, thought GLC was okay, and passed on GL NG. This book is one of the two I was looking forward to, and I hope Guy gets to do something cool – Tomasi never wrote him right to me.

  4. Avatar photo consafo80 (@consafo80) says:

wasn’t going to bother as really dint like Milligan’s Red Lanterns but checked but Guy Gardner got me to check the preview. Loved it so will pick it up.

  5. No offense to his fans but, there is no faster way to make me drop a book than by putting Guy Gardner as the lead. Having said that, I hope the book does really well. Guy deserves a book of his own.

But… I just read the preview and the writing seems to be pretty good. I’ll give it a shot.

  6. This was pretty damn good – except I didn’t buy Guy taking out Atrocitus, and I love Guy. I will be buying this and GL, maybe GLC.

    • My comic shop was sold out of Red Lantern books by the time I got there… So I have to ask – Guy fought Atrocitus, and won!? That seems… Completely impossible! Atrocitus is *the* Red Lantern. How did Guy do it?

    • He just fought him, punched him a bunch, and Atrocitus lost. It seemed way too easy to me. Maybe I underestimated Guy? He was still a GL when he fought him, too. But I guess he’s in charge of the RLs now.
