WHAT !!! So now that Garth left the book these guys are introducing Jigsaw ? That is silly, the whole point of MAX was to leave all of that baggage in 616 and focus on real life villainy.
Jigsaw has always been a pretty real villan. He has no superpowers or anything, just a fucked up face. Also, the way he’s been handled so far has been pretty fitting with the MAX series, the same as when Nick Fury was used.
Hurwitz should definitely come back to this title in the future. He did a fantastic job considering he was replacing Ennis. I have had fun with every issue so far, and I hope this final issue by Hurwitz is just as good.
Then next month we get Swierzynski (CABLE) and the pointless name change. We’ll see if he can do just as good as Hurwitz.
Hurwitz has definitely kicked ass. I knew I was gonna stay on after Ennis, but I didn’t expect to be this good.
And Campbell… just wow.
Covers don’t really fit the tone of the book, though.
I’m sad to see Hurwitz go; this entire arc by him was just great. Not the best Punisher story ever, especially if you try and compare him to Ennis. Even still, it gives me a sigh of relief that this title is in great hands. If Marvel thought Hurwitz was a great idea (and he was), I cant wait to see what Swierzynski has to offer us.
Great arc, definitely recommend it when it comes out in trade.
Excellent conclusion. The shot of Frank standing over Jigsaw… wow. <3 Campbell.
