Charging from the pages of SHADOWLAND comes the collector’s item first ever POWER MAN & IRON FIST #1! When Danny Rand transformed his multinational corporation into a non-profit foundation, he thought he had left fighting behind – but with so many innocents wrongly convicted, the battle never ends! Their first case is Luke Cage and Danny Rand’s former secretary Jennie Royce, imprisoned for a murder she didn’t commit…or did she? And Iron Fist isn’t fighting alone — he’s got a new partner with him: Victor Alvarez, the all-new Power Man, he of the exploding punches – and exploding temper! Can Danny train his new charge well enough to face returning foil El Aguila as well as new threats Don Pagliacci, the Commedia Dell’Morte, and the beautiful, deadly Noir? That’s right, Marvel’s original mismatched action duo begins a new era of greatness right here!

  1. I still haven’t gotten issue 1 but I’m sure I’ll be getting this.

  2. Is anybody else confused as to the race of Power Man? I truly don’t mean to sound like an imbecile and ignorant for not knowing but was I the only person who thought Van Lente made it out that he was very latino in the Shadowland mini, but in book one of this he clearly goes out of his way to talk about being black?

I know it’s not a mutually exclusive thing, but he seemed very different from Shadowland to now in that aspect. I’m still going to read it because any way I can show that Iron Fist has fans I will, but I’m wondering if I’m alone.

  3. Overall, the first issue had its flaws, but was still a servicable enough IF tale to keep me buying after the downfall of Immortal Iron Fist two years ago. Just wished danny was still a Father, and really surprised when he was sleeping with Meachum’s daughter instead of Misty.

New Power Man is fun. Hopefully if it’s quality work, Mignola-distribute it, with a new mini every couple months.

  4. @CloudControl Victor is supposed to be part Latino, part Black if I’m recalling the first mini correctly.

  5. This is pretty good so far. The out of costume stuff needs some work but all of the characters are interesting…. Except Pokerface.
