  1. Juan Jose Ryp is a nice replacement for Barrows. Although considering how last issue looked badass it is a bit frustrating he isn’t doing this.

  2. This was an alright epilogue for the Death of the Family arc. It certainly looks like Grayson is up for some major changes since everyone is leaving him. Not really sure I buy that Damian is the one that puts Dick out of his funk. Glad to see ‘The Dealer’ come back though since he was a nice villain for Dick during Snyder’s ‘Detective Comics’ run. The art by Juan Jose Ryp was alright, but I think Roger Bonet’s inks really hurt it. Everything looked too ‘fat’ or static for my liking.

    3/5

  3. Completely agree with TheNextChampion re: Bonet’s inks. Really thick lines.
And I think “tragedy strikes!” as the teaser for the next issue is a bit weak… really, after Death of the Family, *now* tragedy is striking?

  4. For some reason at the end of this issue I sort of wished Bruce Wayne would stay dead and Dick took over for Batman permanently.

  5. This book was just so bland. I don’t know if it’s Nightwing’s character or Kyle Higgins’ writing, but something dull is going on up in here.

I like Ryp’s art, but it’s much better when he’s drawing loads of gore.

  6. I really liked this story and was great to see the Dealer make his return. This is going to get interesting. One of Damian’s final stories too. 🙁
