  1. Luke Cage as Steve Carrell. Sold.

  2. Acuña?  I’ll probably bite.

  3. I wish I’d seen that Stuart Immonen was off this book as of this issue as I might have dropped it before I pre-ordered it. Ah well. Here’s hoping this is as good as the last issue.

  4. Is Immonen OFF off? Or just a couple issues? I’m not a huge fan of Acuna. Just not my style. Maybe i’ll wait until i read reviews before i throw down the $4.

  5. since he’s drawing Fear Itself, he’s probably off the book

  6. @Fvckstick  He’s at least off till Fear Itself is done

  7. Dropped.  I really dislike Acuna.  I can’t wait for the Fear Itself Immomen.

  8. I will miss this being the best looking book on the rack. This is a 180 degree turn. So sad.

  9. Why, comic book gods, why?! I really hope Immonen returns after Fear Itself

  10. I’m sad to see Immonen go, but the preview Marvel released for this was FANTASTIC, I thought.
    I can’t wait to read this 🙂

  11. I agree…LOVED Immomen. Not a huge fan of Acuna. Oh well, we’ll have to see.

  12. I’d read this even if it was drawn by my mom.

  13. Man even Doctor Doom wants some of that action.

  14. I doubt Immonen will be back after Fear Itself.

  15. @Bendrix  Why? Bendis and hi clearly love working together. Heck MArk Bagley came back for Bendis. If he wants him back I have no doubt he’ll return soon after Fear Itself

  16. After I heard that Immonen was off the book to draw Fear Itself, I was planning on dropping the book. Then I read the article about the upcoming Deodato/Chaykin drawn arc and decided to continue reading at least for a couple of more issues.

  17. What’s this Fear Itself you speak of? I’ve been out of the comic loop as of late =O

  18. @Fvckstick  Fear Itself.

  19. artists rarely go back to the ongoing after the event.  often they go to a creator owned or something completely different.  at the very least we’ll get a lot of Immonen covers on seemingly random books.

  20. This was… pretty bad.

  21. I’d like to nominate “Skank ho after skank ho” for a panel of the week.

  22. I found this a bit boring. Didn’t believe for a second that it was Dr. Doom and thought the whole debate about her name was contrived and her rejoining the Avengers was a foregone conclusion.

  23. I dare someone to tell me anything that moved forward in this issue.  I DARE THEM.

  24. @andybmcd:  The point of this issue wasn’t to move anything forward.  This was just a one-shot, in between arcs thing.

  25. meh. Dialog was slightly amusing but nothing happened. Also not a big fan of Acuna’s art, it’s not bad but Immonen’s art is in a whole other league

  26. I nominate Luke Cage and Jessica Jones as most annoying couple in the Marvel universe.

  27. I shall be the dissenting voice here and say that I thought that this was a super fun one shot. I even enjoyed the Acuna art, which I usually don’t. These in-between character issues are always my favorites, and getting Bendis writing two of my favorite characters? Good times, I say.

  28. Disappointed no Squirrel Girl in this.

  29. @JesseG  Amen.

  30. I’m with CaseyJustice. This was a fun one shot. Those of you who complain about talking. I don’t get it. This is a Bendis book. This is what he does with the Avengers. IMO, it’s better than when he does action heavy books.

  31. Welp, I enjoyed this issue. 4.1 average with 700 pulls? Yep.

  33. It’s clear that Bendis should be writing Archie…The Married Life. He’s more obsessed writing Cage/Jones (& Clint/Bobbi as an alternate) than turning out great epics.

Dear Axel – Please rip up Bendis’ exclusive contract so that Archie Comics can sign him up pronto.

  34. I would definitely buy a Luke Cage/Jessica Jones only on-going, in which they did nothing but shop for baby food and discuss why they can’t get quality child care. But then again, I am of a certain age, married with chldren.
