   Since when is the Flash a black guy? Superman has white hair (Hal Jordan early 90’s style)? Dick Grayson as Nightwing. Does this book take place in regular continuity?

   I haven’t been reading this, so I could be wrong, but I believe this book takes place in the future.

   Nos, the series is not in strict continuity. This was used in one of the previous issues to great effect….Animal Man was rescued by a Green Lantern. Not any Green Lantern you’ve seen before, but a sentient great blue whale Green Lantern. The image of a great blue whale flying overhead with the Green Lantern logo on its belly, using its ‘ring’ to save Buddy is my favorite single comic image of the year. I’ll take that over continuity any day. 🙂

   This book is fantastic. Gerry Conways writing is top notch and is right on the button, it’s very ‘real’ and honest story telling and you can tell that it’s coming from the heart.
